..and I'm still not bowling. Do I miss it? Yep. Do I miss the expense? Nope.
To be blunt, I may be losing my house this summer since my ex tied the mortgage(s) of his condo and this house to his bankruptcy, so down goes Frasier. I have been here almost 20 years, and it hurts only a little. Honestly, it does. Since he hadn't worked for 8 months and had no place to go, I let him move in here and he's in my great room downstairs. I don't love him, and I certainly don't hate him (despite the continuous proverbial kick in the teeth every chance he gets), but he's still my kids' Dad and he literally would have no place to go as he has only one living relative, his mother, and she's in senior citizens' living.
I hope to be bowling this summer. I've been invited to bowl a PBA Doubles league and I think that sounds VERY exciting. I've got the itch to practice and once the weather breaks a bit (we're in a deep freeze at the moment), I'll probably drag my stuff out for some practice since there's a center that has $1 a game day on Sundays.
I think I deserve to bowl a league since I've missed the entire 2009-10 season, and with working two jobs, a night out is just what I need.
Stay tuned.
Welcome to 2010

First and foremost, i'm sorry to hear about your unfortunate(possible future) loss of your home. Secondly, at least you are a compassionate/thoughtful person to allow your ex to stay with you. And finally, yes, you do deserve to have a night out bowling!!! Just to let you know, I, myself, have bowled in the Summer PBA league's the last (2) years. It's an awesome experience and a real eye-opener to just how difficult the lane conditions really are. Believe me, you, don't expect to shoot high scores, game in, game out. I averaged only in the 170's for both year's. My yearbook was in the low 190's-low 200's for regular league's. I wish you the best in life(most importantly) and getting back into bowling!!!!!! Take care.
